"A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement Clarke Moore

(Twas the Night Before Christmas)

This poem, also known as “Twas the Night Before Christmas”, tells of the arrival of St. Nicholas on Christmas Eve. It is filled with original artwork (from the mid 19th century), music, and sound effects leading to an even greater appreciation of this classic Christmas tale. Clement Moore originally claimed authorship, but later the family of Henry Livingston, Jr. - a soldier, landowner, and poet who died in 1828 - disputed Moore’s claim and argued that the poem was Livingston’s. Recently, computer-aided analysis shows more similarities to Livingston’s poetry than to Moore’s.

This rendition of the famous Christmas poem has been a labor of love by all involved. The reader, Christian Andrade, took special care to make it special for his son. It was directed by Diana Andrade, the grandmother, with extra commentary at the beginning and end of the reading done by Jaime Andrade, a.k.a. grandpa.
